James Hosts MacMillan Coffee Morning
I am delighted to host a coffee morning to support MacMillan's World's biggest Coffee Morning! MacMillan have done so much to assist and suport those cancer patients and their families throught the most dificult times. I'm sure many people across the constituency will have been supported by MacMillan, or know of a family who has been assisted by MacMillan.
Cancer is a disease that effects many of us here in Scotland. It is a terrifying word to hear. But you are not alone. MacMillian assist many of the 2.5 million cancer patients across the UK. By raising money MacMillan provides the emotional, practical, financial and medical support to patients and their families. They also campaign for better cancer care.
The Coffee morning is MacMillan's biggest fundrasiing event of the year. It gives people the opportunity to host a coffee morning, or tea party, to remmeber their loved ones or to simply do their bit for MacMillan. It offers you an excuse for a bleather (if you really need one!) while doing something for a worthwhile charity at home, in the workplace, or in a local organisation.
So please come and join me at the Community Hub, 132 Shawbridge Street from 10.30am-12.20pm, for a chat with me and your friends and neighbours and make a donation for the cuppas and cakes to Macmillan. Last year the coffee morning raised an astounding £25 million. Let's make Cathcart's contribution a significant one to an even larger national total!
